Vitalic's comin' to town
This Thursday, anyone still in MTL has a great opportunity to see one of the most original and refreshing acts in electro today, Vitalic. New electro tracks tend to go through a lot of recycling; any song a DJ releases will be subject to at least a dozen remixes, some better than others. Now, this is actually one of the reasons I love this music, the idea that anyone can put their twist on a song and make it their own in a way.
That being said, hearing a new take on the music from an innovative producer is always more appealing to me than hearing that 15th remix of ‘Bounce’ by MSTRKRFT. Vitalic’s first LP, Flashmob, offered exactly the fresh sound I was looking for just when my playlist was starting to get a little stale. This album is full of heavy synths and strong melodies and will have you hooked from your first play. We can’t wait to see what he’s going to put together for his live show, but we have a feeling we won’t be disappointed. Hope to see you there.
