Mixtape Friday
Well, Grand Prix is here this weekend, and we could not be more excited. St. Laurent is already blocked off, with all of your favorite restaurants, dives, bars and clubs posting up on the street inviting you in with delicious smells, sweet music, and outdoor bars; we hear rumors that Crescent will follow suit for all of the public drinking your heart desires. Oh, and I’m pretty sure there are a few races going on too… but don’t quote me on that. I know you’ll need some music for all your weekend celebrations, so let’s get to it.
Our first mixtape for this week comes courtesy of Zubi, the side project of Patrice from NROTB. If you dig this savage mix, make sure to check out his monthly party UNITED GROOVE at club Velvet. He’ll be playing there tomorrow night along with LA Riots in celebration of Grand Prix weekend.

The second mixtape for this week comes from D-VO, an up-can-coming DJ straight out of (and still in) Chicago. His radio show “Rhythm Mechanics” has kept Northwestern grooving since 2006 with live house mixes flavored with everything from jazz to funk.
