Interview w/ Cat Hartwell of Holy Hail

Last week I had the opportunity to chat with Cat Hartwell, frontwoman of NYC’s Holy Hail. She called in from the road as the group was travelling from Chicago to Vancouver as part of their current tour with Florence + the Machine. I caught that show in Philadelphia earlier this month, and ever since I’ve been hooked on the band. Their music runs the gamut from dance-y to indie rock, with just a bit of Southern influence. Cat and I discussed Holy Hail’s roots, touring all over the world, and their recording process. The group recently released a new EP, The Dying (After) Party, on Pseudoscience.
