This afternoon my roommate ran into my office yelling something about a new Justice leak. Probably due to the recent Daft Punk debocle, I was pretty skeptical. But sure enough, the promo team from Ed Banger Records had sent out the new track “Beginning of the End” themselves! This track was to be the first to be released off of Justice’s new album (which is yet to be named) set to hit stores ‘early 2010′. The track is slow to get started and less involved than most of what we had come to love from ✞, but the evolution within the song from minimal melody into a more of a  banger is exactly what fans have been waiting for since 2007.

But no sooner do our hearts get lifted, we find out a hacker managed to gain access to the Ed Banger’s email and sent out the fake track.

Beginning of the End – Justice [fake]

We had to console ourselves with these (real) remixes that we’ve had on our hands for a while:

Justice – Waters of Nazareth (Justice Remix)

Justice vs. Simian – We Are Your Friends (Cold Blank’s ‘Somos tus amigos’ Remix)

In other news, we are so stoked for GZA/Genius tonight at Foufounes. See you there!
