Happy Friday everyone. I have to say I’m pretty excited for my first weekend back in Montreal since I left for my final winter break ever (sadface..) For those of you who are heading back to school in the next few days or are stuck traveling when you would rather be out partying, here are some tracks to get you through until you reach your final destination. Today for my first Mixtape Friday of 2012 I have tunes from Angger Dimas, LAZRtag, Bart B More & TAI and others, as well as a great new mixtape from an EDM legend.

It seems like everyone and their mothers did a “best of 2011″ mixtape over the last week or so, but I don’t think any could surpass this Year Mix from Laidback Luke. This epic hour-and-a-half mix contains some of the best jams of 2011, and I have to admit, I get all nostalgic when I think of where I was when I first heard some of these tracks. So I was seriously slacking this weekend in terms of posting, but if you’re a student then you fully know how ridiculous this time of year can get. But enough with the excuses, I’d like to make up for my lack of posts this weekend with some great new music and videos I collected over the last few days. I have great new original songs from Knife Party, the Swedish House Mafia and the Bloody Beetroots for you all today, as well as new remixes from Breakage and Drop the Lime. First up is “How Come You Never Go There,” the newest video off of Feist’s most recent album Metals, which came out back in October.

Next up is a new video from Crookers featuring Hudson Mohawke and Carli. The track is called “Hummus,” and this one is a little crazy. The song is very much in keeping with the recent off-the-wall and eclectic style that the Italian duo used on their recent Dr. Gonzo project, and I love the animation they used for this video.
