Breaking New5

Posted 23 Mar 2010 in Music

A few weeks ago we mentioned that Deadmau5 had been experimenting with dubstep. Well it turns out he was working on a lot more than that. His new remix of ‘Watercolor’ by Pendulum is too good not to share immediately. Enjoy (we know you will!)

hmm…. sounds like his typical pop-strong junk. deadmau5 makes some good electro house records; this is about as far from good as he gets though.

Is this ripped from Tim Westwood’s show?

    I’ll take it!

it’s from pete tong’s show- hear him at the beginning?

I hope teh mau5 continues down the dubstep path, even though this doesn’t sound like dubstep much, killer n e ways.

    Top Chune!

Garbage Garbage Garbage. Deadmau5 although slightly talented is no more than a perfectly marketed mickey mouse. I wish people would grow a f@#%$ pair of ears and actually listen to what they think is “cool” instead of going by what the radio tells them.

dstrrr, although you are entitled your own opinion, why be such a douche about it? I don’t think its great, the vocals remind me too much of Chad Kroeger lol. But I would still jam to it if I heard it at a party.

Great song. But this isn’t necessarily dubstep, is it?

This is not dubstep or anything near it. Agree with the guy a couple posts up saying grow a pair of ears, this shit is garbage. The Emalkay remix completely destroys this … look it up now… and it is dubstep :)

    I don’t know if I’m a big fan, it seems a bit mundane… I

if you could read the second line is “well it turns out he was working on a lot more than that” (“more than that” referring to more than dubstep). this is not a dubstep song, nor was it meant to be. suck a fat one. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

i love the haters. and no its not dubstepp but its certianly deadmau5, and he is very talented. His music was noticed way before anyone noticed his mickey head. nufsaid. :]

I think people are putting too much weight on the name “deadmau5″. Granted the guy is incredibly talented and I’m a huge fan, but not everything he produces is fire. I do appreciate his exploration although he needs to just stick to what he does best.

Not his best work, the original is better, yet not intolerable.

Disapointing, sounds like a nickleback remix you would hear on a pop crap music channel. Don’t go mainstream on us.

This… this isn’t dubstep at all? It’s the exact same as every other Deadmau5 track. All he does is hack up a Casio keyboard to make different sounds and hits “Demo”, then changes a few instruments, and hits “Demo” again. I agree with JLB, the Emalkay remix canes the absolute bollocks off of this mix.
