A Post About the VMAs?

Posted 23 Sep 2010 in Music

Yea, yea I know. I didn’t watch the MTV Video Music Awards either. But apparently they went down in LA last Saturday, and guest who DJ’d the whole affair? That’s right, it was none other than our favorite masked man Deadmau5. Looks like his skills and his killer visuals were on full display that night, as he mixed and re-edited all of the performing artists’ songs live. To give you an idea of what went down, here’s a video consisting of short clips of Mr. Zimmerman rocking the house; I just wish I could get my hands on some of those remixes.

My personal favorite is his remix of ‘Tighten Up’ by the Black Keys that comes in at 5:40.

And to top it all off, here are a few new tracks from the Mau5, including a new 10 minute dubstep/house hybrid called ‘Raise Your Weapon.’ Enjoy.

I knooow!!! I was so pissed when they kept cutting to commercial! Those bastards sitting in the stands don’t know how good they had it.

oh well, at least I have the Mau5 unplugged in NY to look forward to :)

“say hi to chewy up there, he is my little mexican nugget” VMA’s trying to be politically correct by hiring a dancing midget?
