This past Thursday we had the opportunity to see Lazer Sword, Flying Lotus, and Benga at the S.A.T. After a rather sloppy set from Lazer Sword, Flying Lotus came on and rocked his signature hip-hop-influenced electro mixed with some wicked bass. British synth-pop specialists New Young Pony Club recently released their second album, The Optimist. This is their follow up LP to 2007’s Fantastic Playroom, where they delivered catchy synths and danceable music that was simple, but very easy to like.
